Wow, Dave, that really illustrates the point beautifully. I saw this in effect for my own life when I stopped going out to eat completely for about 2 months. Then my mother-in-law died peacefully last week and we've been out almost every day because cooking was too much. Whoosh went the $! We had good reason but it was a very stark difference. Love your articles and must say how impressed I am by someone who said they had a hard time trimming down articles to a readable length. You're an ace!

Great lesson. We often think we need to work on the big things in life. But as you observed it is the small decisions that rule our lives.
